Youth Engagement Program Manager
Omesa leads youth organizing efforts as the Youth Engagement Program Manager at Clean Water Action, where he empowers young leaders and changemakers across Massachusetts to tackle environmental injustices in their own communities.
Omesa is a passionate advocate for environmental and climate justice. He grew up in the Kisii highlands of Western Kenya, where he witnessed firsthand the toll of climate change on local communities—an experience that ignited his lifelong mission to help those on the frontlines build resilience and drive change.
Now residing in the Nipmuc territory of Worcester, Massachusetts, Omesa founded The Climate Voices Podcast—a global storytelling platform that bridges the gap between policymakers, scientists, and grassroots organizers. Through powerful conversations and shared solutions, he amplifies voices often left out of the climate dialogue and inspires collective action for a just and sustainable future. He is a graduate of Clark University with a master’s degree in Environmental Science & Policy (Climate Change Impacts & Adaptation). Before joining Clean Water Action, Omesa was an Energy Equity Fellow at Energy Allies and before that, he was an Environmental Justice & Climate Equity Fellow at MobilizeGreen.
When he’s not organizing or podcasting, Omesa enjoys photography, playing billiards, soccer, and watching political/historical movies.
