Are you passionate about making a difference in environmental advocacy? Join Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund as a Minnesota Grant Specialist and play a vital role in driving positive change! In this position, you'll work closely with our dedicated teams, supporting impactful campaigns by managing administrative and financial aspects, assisting in fundraising efforts, and contributing to grant applications, appeals, and events. Responsibilities
• Initiate grant fundraising activities including grant research, tracking and ensuring deadlines, presenting opportunities to state directors and program directors, assisting with content writing, gathering required documentation, etc.
• Budget support and thought partnership with MN State Director & MN Deputy Director for new/underfunded programs
• Assist in compliance with Office of Campaign and Political Finance rules and other reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Very detail oriented with the ability to meet multiple legal and financial deadlines simultaneously.
• Adaptability and ability to learn on the job.
• Cultural competency in interacting with people from a variety of economic, racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Well organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel (including creating and fixing basic formulas and managing communication between different spreadsheets), etc. and experience working with databases.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Experience organizing and running in person fundraising events a plus.
• Experience applying for and managing finances for grants a plus.
• This is a hybrid position requiring in-person work twice per week.
• Applicants must have access to transportation to commute to the office and attend events as needed.
• Reliable internet access is required for remote work, including participating in online meetings and completing remote assignments.
