What is a Donor-Advised Fund?
Think of a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) like a savings account for charitable giving. A DAF makes it easy for you to support the organizations you care about while combining favorable tax advantages.
It’s like a piggy bank with benefits.
A DAF can be established through a financial institution, or you can establish it directly through a community foundation or non-profit organization.
Regardless of where you set it up, contributions to a Donor-Advised Fund are tax deductible, just like if you were making a cash donation directly to a non-profit. After establishing your DAF, you can recommend how much (and how often) you want to distribute money from the DAF to Clean Water Fund, or any other organization you choose.
Please contact your financial advisor for detailed information on donor advised funds.
