ReThink Disposable, a program of Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund, aims to stop trash before it starts. We work with local governments, businesses, institutions, and consumers of single-use food packaging to inspire a cultural shift away from the single-use “throwaway” lifestyle.

We inspire changes that lead to conserved resources, saved energy, and reduced litter in our streets, waterways, landfills, and incinerators by working directly with food purveyors, the ReThink Disposable team works to establish sustainable changes that save money and reduce trash for years to come.

Use your change to make positive change for our waterways! As a Change-Maker, the change from your in-store and online purchases is rounded up to the nearest dollar, adding up to a monthly donation that helps defend wetlands, the Clean Water Act, and endangered sources of the water we drink. Many companies will match their employees’ charitable donations, and some will even provide a 2:1 or 3:1 match. In most instances, only gifts made to Clean Water Fund (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose programs build upon and compliment those of Clean Water Action.
