The primary responsibility of this position will be to spearhead outreach and organizing work with community partners and residents in impacted communities in Philadelphia on the hazards of lead exposure and actions that can be taken to become lead safe. We are looking for candidates with the ability to manage effective community engagement strategies to mobilize residents and direct successful community environmental health programs.

Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are seeking a State Director to oversee our programs in Rhode Island. Clean Water Action (CWA) is a national citizens’ organization working for clean, safe, affordable water, prevention of health-threatening pollution, creation of environmentally safe jobs and businesses, and empowering people to make democracy work. Clean Water Fund (CWF) is a national research and education organization which promotes the public interest on issues relating to water, waste, and toxics.

Clean Water Action is offering an internship opportunity at our Hartford office. This internship is unpaid, providing individuals with the chance to acquire knowledge and experience in our field. The role is remote but may require onsite meetings. The ReThink Disposable Intern will primarily assist our Zero Waste Outreach Specialist on our ReThink Disposable campaign. All Clean Water interns get the opportunity to interview all staff members on campaign teams which include Climate Justice, Water Quality, Toxics, and Zero Waste. This internship will emphasize community outreach and research.
