The health of our environment depends upon the health of our democracy.
Elections matter – that is something that Clean Water Action has known for a long time. By showing up and casting your vote, we can set ourselves on a path to address the climate crisis, fix our failing infrastructure, end environmental racism, put drinking water first, and more.
Get Ready To Vote!
Register to vote (or double-check your registration status)!
Make a voting plan. If you're voting in person, check where your polling place or early voting site is, when the polls are open, and what you might need to bring with you. If you'd like to vote by mail or absentee, check the process for your state on applying and returning your ballot.
Talk to friends and family, encourage them to vote, and ask if they have a voting plan set.
Download a sample ballot and take time to research the candidates and issues. Scroll to the end of this page for voting information in Clean Water states.

Volunteer
Sign up to volunteer and join the Clean Water team working to elect pro-environment candidates in critical swing states! From September through Election Day we will be running volunteer teams to help with phone banking, voter texting, and postcard parties to reach out to voters.
Your vote is your voice, and we need a loud and strong chorus singing in unison for a better, healthier future for our communities, families, and water. Thank you for being a Clean Water Voter!
